I gotta say, I have a wordpress blog conundrum…. You see, I have a couple of websites, and I blog most frequently from jandeelstra.com/blog because it’s my bread and butter site. But that means those posts don’t show up here on WordPress.com. Instead, I must write a separate post for both WordPress.org and WordPress.com. It makes about as much sense to me as does duplicating laundry loads in the wash. WHY??
Okay, with that off my chest, I am reminded that I can play on multiple playgrounds, much in the same way that I have diverse sets of friendships, many who would not play well together. And so I keep them separate. That’s not always easy, but in the long run. it’s probably best.
The thing is, there’s no right or wrong choice here. That’s really what I need to get into my head. Because my belief that I have a WordPress blog conundrum actually means I have choices: There’s no “conundrum” unless I choose it! That’s pretty liberating.
My nature is to want to know “why” things are a certain way. I’ve never been one to just accept the status quo in anything. That means I am still left with the question of why, when I went out on my own and chose WordPress as my website platform, could I not continue my blog here on WordPress. The whole “.com” versus “.org” is truly confusing.
If you have the answer, please oh please do share it in the comments section. I really want to know the “why” as it may help me make sense out of the game.

JD
